Henry M. Sobell completed his studies at Brooklyn Technical High School (1948-1952), Columbia College (1952-1956), and the University of Virginia School of Medicine (1956-1960). Instead of practicing clinical medicine, he then went to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to join Professor Alexander Rich in the Department of Biology (1960-1965), where, as a Helen Hay Whitney Postdoctoral Fellow, he learned the technique of single crystal X-ray analysis. He then joined the Chemistry Department at the University of Rochester, having been subsequently jointly appointed to both the Chemistry and Molecular Biophysics departments (the latter at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry), becoming a full tenured Professor in both departments (1965-1993). He is now retired and living in the Adirondacks in New York, USA.

Dr. Rhcrev has served as a Panel Reviewer for NIH programmed project grant, NIH Microbiology & Infectious Diseases Research Committee ,NIH National Center for Research Resources, Wellcome Trust, UK and Earth & Life Sciences Council, Netherlands (2002). Dr. Rhcrev has published nearly fifty papers in peer reviewed journals and his research mainly focuses on Proteome imaging of macromolecular systems.

Proteome imaging of model/macromolecular systems, conformational analysis of receptor or antibody-bound protein complexes that can be effectively interpreted based on the density of 3D reconstructions.

Dr. Farid Menaa is an inter- and multi-disciplinary professional with worldwide reputation. He has three international post-doctoral terms in Oncology, Dermatology, and Hematology; MBA Entrepreneurship and MD candidate. During his ongoing career, he has mainly contributed to the identification and functions of new human disease-causing genes and variants, formulated natural products for anti-aging and developed innovative theranostic strategies against cancers, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, obesity and infectious diseases. He has more than 10 years’ experiences either in the academic, hospitals or industrial sectors. Prof. Chan obtained his B.Math. (Hons.) in Computer Science and Statistics in 1984 and M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. in Systems Design Engineering in 1985 and 1989 respectively from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Soon after graduation, he joined the IBM Canada Laboratory in Toronto, Ontario, Canada as a software analyst and was involved in the development of multimedia and software engineering tools. Dr Citro carried out her PhD at University of Naples and a Postgraduate Specialization in Clinical Pathology at University of Rome. Her field of research is finding pharmacological chaperones (PC) to cure rare diseases. Her job consists in the identification of the mutations which can be responsive to chaperones and develop method for assays in vitro in two model systems: The Fabry disease, a lysosomal storage disorder and PMM2-CDG (CDG-Ia) disease, a disorder of glycosylation with no cure at present. Dr Citro was co-author of 17 articles in refereed journals. She was the first author or last author in 6 of these publications. Her researches were presented in national and international congresses and she was invited as speaker at 2 international conferences. (59th Congress of the Italian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology 2017 and Enzymology & Mol. Biology 2017). Dr Citro is dedicated to teaching and the encouragement of young scientists. She has supervised several master thesis and a PhD thesis and has been lecturer for different course at University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, Italy.

Amélia Pilar Rauter has made her Habilitation at Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon (FCUL, 2002) and completed her PhD at Technische Universitaet Graz, Austria (1982). She is the Head of the Carbohydrate Chemistry Group - Center of Chemistry and Biochemistry (FCUL), and has been serving as Editor (RSC Carbohydrate Chemistry book series), Associated Editor (Mediterranean Journal of Chemistry), and member of journals advisory board in Organic/Carbohydrate Chemistry. She is Secretary of the European Carbohydrate Organisation and Secretary of the IUPAC Division on Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry, has published more than 130 papers and book chapters, and authored 12 patents.
